Aimpoint and EOTECH brightness

I have a question about how bright these optics “red dots” are on very bright days. Is it hard to see the red dot? Is the dot significantly faded in bright conditions? I am just wondering because where I live it is bright and sunny on most days. If the dot is not terribly visible in bright conditions I might as well use irons. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks

On their brightest settings, the Aimpoint and Eotech should give very good visibility even on the brightest days.

I personally prefer the Eotech 512 because they stay bright even during the day time and it's open sight so it's easier to aim. Aimpoint on the other hand might have longer battery life but the dot is not as bright as the Eotech unless you have the money to buy the new M4!!!

My Aimpoint was bright enough for any day. I never had a problem with seeing the dot easily.

Some settings on the Eotech and Aimpoint will be too bright(won't be a defined reticle) for sunny conditions. I own and hunt with both an Eotech and an Aimpoint during the summers with no problems. When hunting with a red dot, you have to pay attention to the lighting conditions. I learned this lesson very fast when I went out before sun rise and then had some game present itself at about 0730-0800. Well, I forgot to periodically check/turn my intensity up on my optic to accomodate the brighter light. Couldn't see **** when the pack of 30 hogs started running! This is really an easy check to do periodically and is the only drawback I see to a red dot optic.
Oh and another thing. People will say the Aimpoint and Eotech are only good out to so many yards. Ha, someone forgot to tell me and the 15+ hogs I've hit on the run at 300+ yds. Even smoked one at 460yds. (Laser confirmed) Just got to know your holdovers and leads! The 1 MOA dot on the Eotech is better at those longer ranges, and the 4 MOA dot of the Aimpoint is better/faster to acqurie on the closer shots.
