... I'm getting old and don't like to crawl around picking up the empties that I find myself picking up my revolvers in preference to autoloaders?

Is it because I'm getting old and my fingers are losing their touch that I like those big 45colt cartridges?

Or is it just the pleasure and pointability of the Ruger NewVaq?

We all evolve towards the guns we prefer & shoot them more often. Me I like both and own both. I think this is why we have collections so we can pick up & shoot what we want when we want ;)

Oh man, I'm with ya. I just traded an HK USP for a SW 327 TRR8 a few weeks ago! Got sick and tired of chasing brass all over the place and leaving with only 90 percent or so of the cases I brought.

Though I like both, I definitely prefer my revolvers. I haven't gotten into reloading, but will shortly. I am a young guy, but I can see why chasing after spent brass would be a real pain. IMO, the revolver is a reloader's best friend! I tried picking up spent brass from my Springfield XD 9mm once. In a word, it SUCKED :fire: ! So I won't be reloading 9mm, but one day when I get a 45ACP 1911 I suppose I'll have to grit my teeth and do it.

I keep a tupperware container handy that I just eject my empty shells straight down into when I've fired them. I've been seperating my cartidges by make, so I just switch containers if firing different ammo.

I'm a lazy butt at heart, so I tend to gravitate down the easy path :o .

Me too- it's called a Glock 19 :p . I own bottom feeders and revolvers but, if push came to shove (or, the SHTF), give me my Ruger GP100.
