I've been trying to get some history on this Revolver with out paying $30 from S&W. Gun is a 2" Bbl small frame without hammer Pad, but it doesn't appear to have been ground off.
The Frame SN is 766, but when the cylinder is opened, another # is stamped on the frame. That # is 25628. Any help would be appreciated.

Posting a photo would help.
Posting the caliber and barrel markings would help as well.
Is it a hand ejector, a top break?
With a little more information there are some here who can tell you quite a bit. We hate to be wrong though! ;)
