I can't find one on Lee's website nor on MidwayUSA. Does one of these exist? If not, does anyone know of an alternative dust cover? WIll another manufacturers press cover work? I do woodworking in my shop and don't want sawdust getting near my press.

You can make one from an old sheet or T-shirt. Anything with a fairly tight weave will work. My wife has made them for me on her sewing machine out of everything from T-shirts to old Levi's.

Hope this helps.

A good pattern is a 13 gal. wastepaper basket bag. It fits over the top of the whole works. You can actually just use the bag. Isn't elegant but it keeps the dust off. A friend of mine who is a tailor used the bag--cut out two pieces of the material the same size as the flatten bag, made 'em a little longer than the bag and sewed them together. He also made one for my Classic Turret Press.

I use a cut off leg from a pair of blue jeans with the end sewed shut on my piggyback setup.

+1 on the pantleg.:D

If you are worried about it looking cheap, just use a leg off of your 5.11 pants!

Use an old pillowcase.

That's funny....thanks for the suggestions all. So can I safely assume that there isn't a commercial made one directly for a Lee? And it appears that most people haven't tried an alternate brand cover for a Lee....A pillow case or something along those lines may have to work...but eventually, I'd like to upgrade;)

Jose,

It's a reloading press, not a fashion statement. I don't even bother covering mine up with anything. Never have, never will.

Not all of us keep house like you do, Dave!--:scrutiny:

Benedict, are you saying you're a slob and don't wipe off your press before use?

Grin,

Dave

No--I have a cover--see above. I am still a slob though. I haven't dusted the loading bench in months, maybe never--:neener:

My press is in my garage...that's "my place" in my house. I do woodworking (primary reason for the cover) but also have a wall I painted Dallas Cowboys colors (been a fan since birth) with budweiser mirrors and a dart board. I like it looking neat and comfortable. I don't want to make it look ghetto.

So, not a fashion statement, but nice.
