Hello all. I recently purchased a mossberg 500 20 gauge field/deer combo shotgun. I really like the gun overall however the stock is way too long. I now know that they say a bantam version of the gun but didnt realize this before I bought mine. I have tried looking online for the bantam stock to put on mine and it is only available in sythetic and I need one in wood. Does anyone know where I can get one in wood? Know of any other stock options? Or since I have only had mine for 1 month how good of a trade in do you think I could get towards a bantam model?

www.havlinsales.com or call Vic and Cheryl at 636-937-6401.
I don't see bantam stocks listed on their website, but that doesn't mean they don't have them, give them a call. If they don't have any try Mossberg at (203) 230-5300 (8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. E.S.T.)

Check with Hogue. They have a short version of their overmolded stock.
They are also great people and customer oriented.

I ordered a bantam stock directly from Mossberg for my 500; the one I got was black, but definitely wood.
I think the bantam might be somewhat too short for me, but more research is needed.

My brother just ordered a mossy .20 with changeable stock options. It was for his 10 yr. old son. It had a couple of different lengths he could change it to. $250 from Walley world.
