I have a SOG Seal Pup with the Kydex sheath and now I want to try to find one of the old OD nylon sheaths for it. Also, I would like to have the knife in a drop-leg configuration to clear the hip belt of a backpack. Is there such a thing available to fit the Seal Pup?

Ooh.... A Seal Pup is a knife? I was absolutely positive that you were referring to making sheaths out of seal-pup skin...

Have you looked at Blade-Tech yet? They can do pretty much whatever configuration you want.

Not many knifeknuts around, compared to gun buffs are there? Its easy to make simple modifications to the origanal ( factory that is ) sheath if you have acess to some full grain leather, just make a long loop for the belt, tying it to the origanal, then making a leg strap, simple but crude.

I have a seal pup elite and I have a sheath not sure of what material seems similar to the cloth ballistica type material found on uncle mike holsters with a hard plastic insert to keep the blade from coming through. Many different holding positions plus a velcro around handle and flip over flap with clip lock to secure knive makes for a great sheath in my opinion. It will fit the elite and standard seal pup. You can get them from any SOG dealer or order online from SOG themselves should cost around 15-25 dollars. I got mine at gun and knife show for 17 dollars.
