Anyone been banned from DU.com

It seems I've been banned yet again, my 3rd time for that matter. Why is it that these guys cannot tolerate an opinion other than their own when uttered from an intelligent person who can dismantle their arguements? If one can so easily punch a hole in their beliefs, maybe their not such great beliefs in the first place and one should do some thinking and reflection.

If one is secure in what they believe, they should be perfectly willing to hold their beliefs to the fire and allow criticism fro everyone. If it survives close scrutiny from every angle, then maybe you've got something.

Oh well, just remember not to give up the fight.

Yeah, I got about five posts in on election night before I was shown the gate...

Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk! :D

As Triumph, the insult comedy dog might say, "DU is a great web site - FOR ME TO POOP ON!"

The question isn't "Have you been banned", the question is, which of us has been banned the most times? I was once banned for saying "I diagree". Total and counting, 20+.

You'd think so, but I'm not much on slumming so I never go there anyway -- don't want to get any of my pixels depressed....

I've never been there. I use Murphy's Law of Fools:

"Never argue with a fool. It accomplishes nothing, and it annoys the fool". :D

Typed in du.com and got a wonderful blank page. Guess I got thrown off before I even got there.

What is the link to this DU site

The people from AR15.com troll the DU site all the time. They claim a hot link can be traced back to it's source. I don't know if that's true or not, but it pays to use caution.

For what it's worth, my blood pressure can't take DU or anyother antigun site. I sometimes get so worked up that I want to break things. Reason doesn't work on these people.:banghead:

AH...now I know what "DU" stands for. I've been to this site before. After the election some of the stuff posted here almost had me hospitalized for laughing so hard. http://flashback.lunarpages.com/forums/images/smilies/rotfl.gif

Yeah, I've looked around over there a couple of times, but I start spluttering and have to leave before I post anything.

You do have to take some deep breaths and distance yourself from the argument sometimes, but it is interesting to see how the "minds" of the opposition work. Mostly they don't, they just spout PC nonsense and react.

You'd think that since depleted uranium was such a large part of military technology that those folks would have a more tolerant attitude.

What's that? Democratic Underground?

Never mind.

Did anyone happen to seewhen a hacker got into the DU site on election night? He posted a captured photo of James Carville with a trash can on his head and in bold letters stated:

ALL YOUR SENATE ARE BELONG TO US!

I truly almost peed my pants laughing. It was a great moment to be a conservative! :D

I'd love to see the picture of Carville. :D

Sample threads:

"Do you think we can get Rush off the air."
"Do you like Shrimp? I love it."
"Why all the astrology threads?"

Space Cadets of the highest order. Trolling them would probably give me brain freeze. :)

As an NRA recruiter I work the monthly gun shows and have many opportunities to talk to the average hunter and conservationist.

While thier opinions do not represent everyone, the majority by far will not join the NRA or any other pro-second amendment organization either local or national.

They think that thier .06 rifles(sniper by daffynition) will never be taken.

Our local second amendment coalition has been trying for years to reach and education these people with very little success.
It's a shame. With their support much more could be accomplished.

Glock Glockler- what I have noticed more & more from the Left, Progressive- whatever they call themselves now- is an absolute intolerance of dissent.

They used to be its champions, but those days are long gone.

IMO, "Hate Crimes Prevention Laws," campaign finance "reform"- and all the blather about The Destruction Engine of talk radio- are nothing more than attempts to stifle, squelch, muffle, and ban anything they disagree with.

And, IMHO, it's utterly corrosive to a free society- the right to speak up, and dissent, is fundamental.

Aw, what the "H"- I am famous or infamous on Free Republic, Liberty Post, Free Dominion, and other boards for posting links; here's the Mother Of All Links detailing this subject and many others the "media won't talk about"--
