What size are the standard 1911 grip screws?

As of yet I do not have a 1911 of my own, but I am looking at using a set of screws for another project. I will need to get a proper sized tap if I don't already have one. Can someone tell me what size the standard grip screws are for a 1911? I have been searching for the last couple days and I have found many of them for sale but no actual spec's are listed.
Thanks in advance for your help.

They are .150"x50. Brownells has the screws and the taps.
I don't know what you are using them for, but they are odd size (not standard) and if I wanted screws for some other purpose, I would go for a standard hardware store size, like 6x32. The screws cost a lot less and replacements are much easier to get.

Jim,
Thanks, I just found the information in post over at 1911.org. I was hoping they would be a standard size. Since they are not, I'll go a different direction. Thanks again.
