I can ask for more pictures if you think I should see something else...

Can you guys make out the date code? KD?

Seller says it has around 50 rounds down the pipe...

That gun doesn't look like it's ever been fired, even at the factory.

I think the seller steam-cleaned this pistol.

If the price is good, buy it.

It looks unfired to me. Date code translates to a '93 (K=9, D=3...but I thought these were intro'd in '94) If you get a good price, buy it! ;) at the very least it's well maintained..
Also note that you probably have a barrel w/ standard rifling

Yeah, if that code is in fact a KD, that is the oldest SS I've seen.

What was the first year for the polygonal rifling? Is polygonal a distinct upgrade?

that is one clean gun. As others said. It looks barely fired.

The barrel hood on HKs wear very easily. That certainly looks unfired.

I'd snatch it up ina heartbeat if the price was right.

If the date code is infact a KD, then it has the standard rifling, not the polygonal. That is a bit of a bummer for me as the polygonal is supposed to last longer and just be better overall.... :-/

I bet even with standard rifling you cant wear it out....

In .40 cal. I've gotten much better accuracy with conventional rifling over polygonal.

Might as well make it unanimous... it appears to be in excellent condition.

Ask the seller to take a photo of the left side to get the date code.

Otherwise, if the price is right, buy it.
