I am looking for places to buy some WC 844 or some Data 68 or any other powder that is is suitable for the 223 and inexpensive. I prefer ball powder.

Have you tried Powder Valley? Shotgun News has a lot of surplus powder dealers also.

I'm interested, too. All of my known sources for surplus powders are either out of it, or up to $99.00 for an 8-lb jug. I'm a one-at-at-time buyer, so adding hazmat and shipping ($20 each) puts me equal to just buying name-brand off the shelf.

Don't have links here, but I've checked Pat's Reloading, Powder Valley, Widener's, Jeff Bartlett and maybe one or two others....oh, gotta check Natchezss.com, too!!!

$100 a jug for new AA or Ramshot powder is about the most economical at this time unless you can sneak a 22LR conversion kit into the calculation.
