I'm sitting here and reading through THR's threads and occasionally getting up to practice drawing (IDPA shoot tomorrow). To my left is Handgunner magazine July/August opened to page 26, and just past the magazine sits my S&W 952.

Twice now, as I was finishing up reading a thread, and preparing to go practice drawing, I've reached to pick up the Glock (on page 27). I've reached over, while still looking at the computer screen, and put my fingers around the Glock's outline, only realizing its just a picture when I felt the paper.


I just thought it was funny.

Here's something stupid I did today:

I was out on our land in the country and I had 4 1 gallon jugs full of water because I wanted to do the shoot into them thing and compare the expansion between my Hydra-shoks and Ranger SXT's. The only place to line them up was on the ground so in order to shoot in a straight line through them I had to get the butt of my gun down on the ground. It was kind of awkward so I guess I wasn't thinking about grip clearly and I had my left hand in an unusual position apparently because when I shot my thumb got popped by the slide. Ouch.

The Hydra-shok expanded beautifully though but I couldn't compare it to the Ranger because it went through 3 of the jugs and that left me with only one.
