Stubborn loose ejector rod : Python.

My Python has had this problem since I bought it : when using full power 357 loads through it, the ejector rod tends to loosen itself to the point of actually falling -out- when opening the cylinder. I've retightened it a few times (managing to mar the rod a bit in the process ::grumble:: ) but it always comes loose after a time.
What's a good solution to this? I'm hesitant to use loc-tite on it since it's handy to be able to remove the rod and ejector when the cylinder needs a little loosening lubrication.

Thundercleese. If you use the Blue Loc-tite(242) you should still be able to remove the rod.Don't use the Red Loc-tite (262). You'll never take the rod back off.I use both of these Loc-Tite's everyday. The Red is for serious business.

It's possible a previous owner wrecked the threads, so you may have parts to replace. Everything needs to be squeaky clean and completely dry, then use a very little green or blue Lock Tite. I'd disassemble it once a year for cleaning on general principles.
