Yup, good movie, good book (except for Crighton's typical abrupt ending that makes you wonder if you're missing the last page).
Supposedly Sean Connery was almost killed doing the stunt in which he jumps from car to car.

The plot was inspired by a true event that occurred on August 29, 1900, when four members of George Leroy Parker's (Butch Cassidy) 'Hole in the Wall' gang halted the No. 3 train on the Union Pacific Railroad tracks toward Table Rock, Wyoming. The bandits forced the conductor to uncouple the passenger cars from the rest of the train and then blew up the safe in the mail car to escape with about $5,000 in cash.

I don't think anyone was killed during the robbery.

I mean, its like he runs out of time, or paper, or something. A perfect, white knuckle page turner is ended with "AND THE VIRUS MUTATES INTO A SAFE FORM AND EVERYONE LIVES. THE END."

I mean, when I graded essays with a page minimum, there was the same effect. As soon as you hit the magic number, all is resolved inside of one paragraph. :D
