I just got a model 700 in 7mm-08 and I shot a box of remington coreloks in 120 gr and I was getting 1 in group at 100 yds. I'm going to order another brand to see if its more accurate and I wanted to know what brand I should get. What have you had good luck with? Thanks

I'll second the Federals. You might also want to try the Winchester Supreme 140-gr Ballistic Silvertip. I get the best accuracy from my Browning BLR with those. It'll shoot sub-MOA with those and the Federals.
Hope this helps -- good luck!

If your intended use is hunting, I'd say 1" is good enough. Depending on what your hunting 120g might not be enough, though.

1" inch at 100 yards with a stock gun and factory ammo is about as good as it gets! If you can do better with different factory ammo I'd be surprised. I've gotten roughly equal velocities with Federal and Remington 140's. I really couldn't tell you about accuracy with them, because I was just using them as control groups for handloads. BTW, for hunting, the Remington 120's I have seem have hollow points and are marketed more as varmint rounds than big game rounds.

Federal with the 140 Nosler ballistic tip shoots better than any other factory ammo in mine. I think I've got a box I'd sell real reasonable if you want to try them. (I handload for mine now)
