Hello Gents, I come again to tap on the wisdom of some of our cherished members here regarding old Colts. I recently acquired a package deal for my Old Man's Trooper. He didn't like the original grips so i set out to find him some......well, I did but didn't notice the screw missing from the set I liked. Anybody recognize this style grips and where I can order a replacement screw? They have no markings whatsoever inside and are made of wood. very nice and superb fit, but I need the screw.

They fit the Trooper perfectly except for the bottom rear as you can see in the Photo....Colt Detective special maybe? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Rafael.

The first grips look very much like Badger grips:
http://www.badgercustomgrips.com/

The second pair are a set of grips for a Colt Lawman Mark III with the 2" barrel.
The Lawman was the fixed sight version of the Trooper Mark III.

It was available in a 4" or a 2" barreled version. The early versions had an exposed ejector rod, but the later 2" Lawman had a shrouded barrel very similar to the later Detective Special. For this reason, the later 2" Lawman looks just like a giant Detective Special.

The 2" version of the Lawman Mark III had a rounded grip frame, and was the only gun Colt ever made that used that particular grip. That grip will not fit any other revolver.

DfarisWheel, Thanks for taking the time... I knew you wouldn't let me down. The info on the Badgers alone was priceless. Those Lawman grips have any value?

For value, I'd check completed auctions on eBay.
These turn up there fairly often, but I haven't watched sell prices.

Hello again Gents, I'm still with the same problem, I've contacted Badger Grips and can't purchase a screw from their web........I was wondering if anyone out there that has a pair (grips that is:evil: ) can give me the measurements and size of the screw so I can purchase one from either Numrich or Midway?

Thanks, Rafael
