Not too shabby on the member count. . .

5,393 if you look at the home page. But of course, a lot of those members are folks who register but don't post. I recall that a lot of TFL's membership had 0 or 1 posts.
Still, I looked at members with 25 posts (an arbitrary number) or better, did a little quick math, and came up with 1700. Not bad at all.
Hope THR can double those figures by year's end.

Its great, but what about traffic concerns? That's what concerns me since I started to get involved with the internet and realized the technical limitiations. Can the server and connection handle increased traffic? It costs money, time, and effort. People should be really be thankful to Oleg for THR.

Agreed. I recall TFL having a few server problems, and I remember some down time for upgrades and technical problems.

It's not the numbers, its the QUALITY of participation that matters.

Sven has got that nailed ........ but for sure .... as traffic increases and bandwidth demands rise ... so eventually can costs .... most servers have a bandwidth limit. Plus, this Dbase must already be pretty huge in shere space terms already.!
I would venture to suggest that if things got ''sticky'' .... it would not take too much effort for the majority of active members to rally round and bung in ten bucks each (even 5) ..... in no time things would be well solvent.
I for one value the site and all its throughput enough to feel more than willing to chip in if asked.
