Did I screw anything up doing this front sight adjustment?

I just got a p2000SK today and took it to the range for 450 rounds and ALL my shots were to the right...not down and to the right or up and to the right...just to the right and I thought I was loosing my mind! I took the gun home and upon cleaning it I noticed the front sight was pretty off center to the left (I dont know how I missed this at the range :what: ) not wanting to send it to a gunsmith or back to HK I took a rubber mallet and a rubber coated screw driver and smacked the thing back into center. It took about 6 tries because I would accidentally set the sight to far right and then two far back to the left etc. Finally I got it where I wanted it. Is there anything I have to do before going back to the range this week to test it out? It seems pretty tight in there, but I dont know if they use any sort of glue or whatnot to keep these things in place.

It depends on how tight it is; if it loosens in firing, you might want to stake it in place so it stays.

You might try one of the Loctite formulas to help keep the front sight in place.

Good shooting and be safe.

as the saying goes;
"IF IT DOES'T WORK FORCE IT , IF IT BREAKS IT NEEDS FIXING ANYWAYS"
