Which blasting media to use?

I'd like to parkerize a couple of AKs that I'm building before I use Moly Resin, along with a plain park finish on a 1911. What type of media do I need in order to get a good result? Harbor Freight sells 70 grit Aluminum Oxide and 80 grit glass beads. Is there something that would be better?

Glass beads are too smooth for good parkerizing.

I like playground sand but only use it in a cabinet.

the 70 grit will be fine if you keep the gun moving.

Playground sand is cheap and works great. I used it with an open blaster and appropriate protection to blast an FAL parts kit and a SA milspec 1911 for parking before GunKoting.
