Anyone going to the Super Bowl?

If so, I have a suggestion. Make a (fairly large) sign that says, simply, "Molon Labe". Or perhaps "RKBA". Nothing else. And if possible, others could make similar signs for other televised sporting events, a'la "John 3:16". Soon enough, interest will be piqued. The goal would be to make it a regular sight at games.
What do you say? Any takers?

For those who go, please pass on my congratulations to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers when they win.

"Molon Labe" would be great. People would start asking questions of other people who don't know what it means.

It's a compelling and educational story not to mention as provocative as they come! :neener:

I should inform this thread that you're not allowed to mention said "event" without the express written consent of the National Football League and it's army of well-meaning lawyers. Any description, either orally or in written form of the broadcast or game is in violation of the copyright of the NFL.

You may, however, say "that big game at the end of the season".

Perhaps it would be productive for me to mention the phrase "term of common parlance". The marketers can't have it both ways; it's either part of the culture, or extraneous.

"'Molon Labe'" away!

Well, if we could convince our born-again quarterback that it is far more productive to take the linedogs out and buy them large steaks and copious quantities of beer, than it is to invite them over to one's house for PB&J, Kool-Aid and prayer meetings, then we might have a chance next year...

Quarterbacks go crunchy.

You may, however, say "that big game at the end of the season". Yeah, the XFL can't sue now!
If I could get my sorry butt to a Hurricanes game, I'd make up a "RKBA" sign. Oh, well; the curse of the lazy...

I live where the Super Bowl is going to be held and believe me, you don't want to be anywhere near the stadium for the whole weekend. It's a total zoo there, for almost a week. I shop at a different supermarket and go to a different bookstore etc during these "cultural" events, all in the opposite direction! You can't get a seat in the local brewpub, let alone get close to the stadium:cuss:
I know, I'm an old curmudeon, but I like my town the way it used to be, when it was Super Bowl-less.
