Just wondering why there are no Glock long guns. Sitting around bored at work today I was trying to imagine what a Glock made rifle, shotgun or smg would look like:D

I'll photoshop you a picture of what one might look like and post it in the Glock Club Forum.

I wish they made a pump action shotgun. That tennifer coating would be AWSOME for wet conditions.

Will Glock ever make anything but handguns?

Shovels, lights, pens, stickers, shirts, keychains, shower curtain rings... what else do you need besides all that stuff (and handguns)?

Yeah, seriously a glock carbine would do well. But I think kittens died just from me speaking of it.

I was gonna mention the rumor of a Glock Carbine which would sell well as long as it's priced right. The Beretta CX4 is just a bit on the pricey side.
Remember Glock wasn't always a gun company. They started as metal and plastic distributer for Militarys. One day some one mixed the plastic and metal and vola. Reese peanut butter cups, eat your heart out.

If they do, I will bet big money that it will be awesome.

They would be wise to offer carbines--in the manner of Kel-tec--while they can. No question they would sell. If they can "Glock" the carbine and make a 21st century AK they will have a huge hit. What gun owner wouldn't want one?

While Glock is big in the civilian market, I wouldn't be surprised if the bulk of their sales came from law enforcement, government, and military contracts. Their few civilian-focused offerings haven't done great, so if they were to do something other than a handgun it would have to be something more profitable and with significant LEO/military demand.

I could see a very simple, polymer recievered AK clone with AR ergonomics, in 5.56 doing well, so long as it takes AR mags.

Bleh. Those Hi-points might not be bad, and they're definitely cheap, but they are ugly as sin.

I was surprised to see that they're even uglier in person, and even NIB they look like 30-year-old surplus rifles.

I suppose they could jump on the bandwagon and start making AR15s like Smith did. I wonder if it would have a polymer receiver? Hk already started making theirs.

Why would they need to?? The cult following they have will keep them afloat for a long time!

Actually recently Hi-Point has trimmed up the frame on there carbines. Same out line just slimmer in most aspects. Saw one recently with a scope.

Everything that Glock has made is in response to the Austrian Army tenders for new equipment. The Austrian Army seem to be good at putting out specs for a new contract that most of the established industry leaders have trouble meeting. The Glock entrenching tool, the Glock knife ( I have one and love it), the Glock pistol, and the Glock grenade. When tender for a new SMG or a assault rifle comes out no doubt old Gaston will think outside the square and bring out a piece that blows our socks off again. Hate him as much as you like, but you can bet your life on his gear.
