Just wondering, does it matter on the size of the frame? Or how hard it is?

um, Why hit em with a pistol when bullets are available?
If you run out, carry more reloads...
That said, just about any handgun can be used in this manner.

Wow, I'm surprised the gun snobs haven't jumped all over you.
But I'll go along with this. This is my type of subject.
Size and pistol type effects technique(revolver or semi) hence striking with the slide, butt, or barrel; angle, and where you'd strike; throat, temple, striking an attacking hand.
In my opinion, pistol whipping is ment for those whom owe money but lack the determination to pay up... you don't F with the union.
So for the law abbiding this is pretty much a no-no, even in most self defense cases.
In my opinion, "Use a gun as a gun, not like some prehistoric club."
Told you the gun snobs would jump on this.

If it comes to pistol whipping, any gun is better than fists.
