I know I am going to get lit up for this, but I'm gonna ask anyway. What is the deal with MOLON LABE? It's a popular tagline in peoples posts. As I understand it, it means "come and get them".

Why would you want to invite someone to do something you dont really want them to do in the first place?

Is it just to virtually hawk one in the eye of Big Brother? I'm sure no one really wants to open the door and see the man there demanding their arms. Even if you are willing to fight to the death, why ask for it?

It's a "line in the sand". If you are willing to pay the price of robbing me of my heritage, I am willing to extract that price.

Read, and understand.

There are two views of life:

A. Better to die on your feet than to live on your knees.

B. Better a live slave than a dead freeman.

It's your choice. Pick one.

May we all be brave and faithful Spartans!

Psst... We call them Spartans or Spartiates. They referred to themselves as Lacadaemonians, hence the "lambda" that was on their shields.
