I'm dying trying to see anything with the little 20x spotting scope I've got right now. So I was looking into Konus products - not sure who might be their "preferred dealer" though.

That's the best deal I can find on 'em right now. I'd love to go Leupold but I just can't drop $300 on a spotting scope for the time being.
Anyone got any other recommends for where to look for something like this, or other alternatives (anyone ever heard of Trekker)? Most of my rest shooting is 30-cal out to 200yd, wouldn't hurt to be able to see out past that if I can find a longer range though.

Check out teh weekly adds for Big 5 sporting goods. They seem to have a different spotting scope every week for $100 or less. I just picked up a Burris 20-60 for $89.

One of the Marines that I work with has a Konus scope as well.
His is a bit more expensive, but it is sweet...

Natchez shooting supply may still have some refurbed Nikons. I've been happy with mine. Just be sure to get a solid stand for it. At high power, any movement is a pain.

sells a Konus spotting scope. The ones I have seen at ranges have been very sharp and clear, their only disadvantage versus my Kowa is that the zoom eyepiece does not have as much eye relief and field as my fixed wide angle. But for about half the price of my smaller Kowa, a quarter the cost of an 82mm.

You can likely get one for less from a New York camera store... or they might have a lesser version. I'd buy from the shooter.

There's a pretty wide selection on Amazon.com. Many of them you get free shipping if you're willing to wait awhile. I bought a Barksa 20-60 with hard and soft cases and a tripod for $89.95 no tax and free shipping. It sucks in low light but otherwise a nice scope.

I recently bought a 20x60x80 Konus from telecopes.com. I paid $180 for it with free shipping (a promotional thing at the time, not sure if that is still in effect). Really pleased with the product. It worked very well on the range.
