Finally, some will argue that banning such weapons interfere with peopleís rightto defend themselves. Anyone who just wants a firearm for self-defense should definitely not get an assault weapon. They are terrible self-defense tools. Thatís because they were designed for indiscriminate offense - to kill many people in a crowded setting very quickly.

Sounds much more like explosives, to me.
All the ARs I've fired have been more geared for relatively accurate fire while still maintaining suppressive fire capabilities. However, I must defer to this gentleman as I'm sure he's done far more research into the subject than I! :neener:
