I'm not sure of brand but I think most of the military spec stuff is that hot.

You know, Natchez has some of the GECO 124 gr. stuff for cheap ($5.99/box) - I'd be shocked if it wasn't loaded to NATO spec (which is generally considered +P+).

Part # F04RW2125854.

Nah, I shoot a lot of the Dynamit-nobel Geco stuff and it is real nice smooth recoiling stuff, but only comes out to about a 130 Pf, certainly not +p. You could get some of that reclassed Speer GDHP, it's not too spendy and is most certainly +p.

Hertenberger (sp?)

124 grain bullet at 1350fps, and supposedly they have a 115 that does 1480

you can get it for something like $125/case

i wouldnt recomend shooting it in anything but a Glock, or an SMG, which is what this ammo is designed for.

I've used the Hirtinberger 124gr. in several guns. I still have about 50 rounds of the junk left. It is so hot that my former Beretta 92, my Browning BDM and my Browning Hi-Power would not cycle reliably with this ammo. It would go 20-30 rounds and then a jam with the new shell stuck. I had standard strength recoil springs on all guns. I don't recommend shooting much of this through your guns as it's very powerful.

Also the primers are recessed into the case (farther away from the firing pin) and possibly hard. I had the same problem in all three guns Hirtinbergers would not always go off on the first pull. Basically it was like bang bang click bang click bang click click bang bang bang bang click.

I've never had a FTF or any problems with 124gr. Winchester NATO in about 2,000 rounds so far.

Thanks guys!! I want to use it in my MK9, which is designed for +P+ ammo anyway. I figure that if I'm gunna use +P as my carry ammo, I had better at least run a couple of hundred rounds through it to get used to the recoil and test accuracy under double tap conditions!!

Sure, they're called handloads ;) With a little experimentation you can duplicate the feel of your carry load, possibly without exceeding standard pressures.

I know Pro Load has a +P 124 gr. FMJ round.
