Yeah, literally.!

I would guess most here can do this ...... but i find it remarkable how accurate it can be. Put some shots thru P97 yesterday and with one exception .. all shots called were near correct.... as they usually do.

Seems like at instant of discharge, there is momentary eye/brain snap shot of sight picture - relative to target ...... and that ''registers'' the shot.

I started comp shooting about 16 .. long range rifle. We were encouraged to develop this habit and it was surprising how quickly it became automatic. Ever since (that was a long time ago!) .. it has got better if anything .... even allowing for eye sight degradation.

Only mention this outa pure interest, nothing else but wonder if everyone here finds same .....

Calling your shots means you are on the way to becoming a fine marksman, if not one already. You are showing an awareness of your sight picture relative to the target at moment of discharge. When this if fully developed your shots will more often than not be on the mark. In other words your sight alignment and trigger control are coming together. Good job! :D

I wish! If I could place my shots as well as I call them, I'd still be competitive.

SW - you must have been one before your eyes went south or whatever happened. Shooting is a high maintenance sport - especially pistol shooting. I don't find it to be like riding a bicycle. I find I have to keep trying.
