Out of the two chooses, which pistol would you say is the better of the two and WHY??????

I would like to hear from people who own these pistols and can give facts on each.

Which one performs better???

Which one is more accurate???

Whih one caries the better????

Your input is greatly needed.

I did not vote as I do not own either. I have shot my father's and bro-in-law's G27 (.40 equivalent to the 26) and can only say that it is very easy to hit with and obviously carries easily. Personally, I have considered buying a 26 based on my expereince with their 27's. I have also shot a full-size XD in .45 and again, great handling and very easy to hit with the one and only time I shot it. Again, rave reviews from those I know who own XD's in several configurations.

Before you get too many responses, may I suggest you add the S+W M+P compact to the voting? I have been pretty impressed with the reviews I've read on that one as well, and it "fits the mold" of what you're inquiring about. (Small, high-cap, polymer 9mm.)

It's the grip angle, for me XD is the best fit. Both are accurate, the G carries a little better, but I shoot the XD much better.

Man.. I can't really answer this one. The Glock 26 (my brother's) is the ONLY Glock I can shoot as accurately as my XD. (I have a problem with the famous "grip angle" on larger model Glocks, but the short grip on the 26 doesn't bother me.) I'm afraid to say it because I'm pretty loyal to the XD, but the 26 might just win in this case.

Get the Glock 26, it's smaller and feels better in my hand. It's also one of the nicer shooting guns out there.

The Glock has a longer and better track record for reliability and accuracy. There's also a bigger aftermarket for it, as well as more holster choices. The XD-SC is bigger than the G26, which sealed its fate. I own a G26.

I voted for the G26. 1st, it can use the hi cap mags out there from the G19 to G17 to the 33 rounders that are out there. Plus, they are relatively easy to shoot.

I voted for the Glock 26. However if I had to choose a subcompact I would go with an HK P2000sk.

I hate grip safeties, Why are they needed? Note: they are depressed when holstering anyway.

I carry a Glock 26 every day for the last 5 years and for the expected future.

Both a great pistols. As others have noted they're quite different in terms of grip angle. The new M&P Subcompact, SW99/Walther P99, and Taurus Mil Pro Compacts should also be considered.

I hate grip safeties, Why are they needed?
To prevent accidental discharges. Same as they've been doing for almost 100 years.
Note: they are depressed when holstering anyway.
Note: If you holster properly, by putting your thumb on the back of the slide, you won't engage the grip safety. Thus you allow the grip safety to do its job and help prevent an AD on a pistol with a short trigger travel.
