Just what the title says. First time I shot it, it Ran everything fine, had to switch to setting 2 on gas tube to run Remington game load #6 1 oz shot.

The other day, it would run 00buck and slugs on position 1 fine but # 6 on two would stovepipe every time??

Any ideas??

Are you saying it won't cycle game loads in the #1 gas setting or #2? It's not surprising that the #1 setting won't work with those loads.

On number two. I tried it on number one just to be sure I had it right but they wouldnt' run on either setting.

What magazines? I've shot the cheapo 100 round boxes of assorted clay/birdish rounds before without issues using the stock 5 round magazine and 10 round AGP units. I don't remember what gas setting it was on though. Did you ever clean the gas piston plug at the very front? Mine got extremely dirty...to the point where it seemed like the caked on crap would almost seize the piston.

Exactly what kind of #6 load were you using?
If you had a promotional load like rabbit and squirrel 1 1/8 ounce or a 1 ounce Dove load they don't have enough oomph to cycle the heavy bolt of the Saiga.
If you must use a promo load try the 1 1/4 ounce Duck and Pheasant or use 3 3/4 dram equivilent 1 1/4 ounce Premium Field loads,(i.e. Super X Field.). You don't need copper coated or anything like that, plain lead heavy field loads will do the trick.
1 ounce and 1 1/8 ounce loads just don't function well in these guns, they need more oomph.

No, I hadn't cleaned it since I ran a dry patch through it the day I bought it. I only put about 15 round downrange that day as it was snowing and pretty cold out.

The round I was using are remington game loads, # 6 black hull writing along the front says 31/4-1-6 . I know that they are not the most powerfull shells out there but they are cheap!! that's why I got em, basically just to blow them off as fast as possible( i know, i'm a big kid). Factory 5 rounder magazine.

Thanks for the feed back guys.

They cycled just fine the first time I shot it.

I think it was clogged gas port. When the weather changes, I'll repost. Thanks guys.
