I was looking at Academy sports and I saw a mossberg shotgun .. It was about $165 (A cheap gun) and I believe it was called a "Security" But I am not sure .. Anyone know what it may have been .. it was a typical home defense looking shotgun .. 18" barrel .. Whatever it was .. I am thinking about maybe getting something like that for home defense .. Is it any good??

At that price, it's probably a Maverick 88 Security (http://www.maverickarms.com/pages/88security.htm). It's an economy version of the Mossberg 500. I believe most parts are interchangeable with the 500 and the quality is comparable.

I opted for the 500 combo. However, I've read a ton of positive comments about the maverick on this and other boards. Also, I think the 20" version holds two extra rounds, if I'm not mistaken. Just do a search for maverick and you'll get a lot of information about them.
