Red Crawdads

When I moved out to Western Oregon from Montana in the late '70s, was astounded to discover creeks full of Screaming Red Crawdads out here. All the ones back home were mud color.

I'm trying to figure out the range of these Red Crawdads.

What color are your Crayfish and where are you?

We ate a whole bunch of 'em at the Black Rifle Convention this past weekend. But they were sorta mud colored before they went in the pots...
