The Hungarian FEG P9R WAS a fun gun to shoot, and had a beautiful Blueing. But it was what it was. A clone of the BHP.

Well after a trip to my buddies place and putting a some 300 rounds that day. The 300 rounds wasnt its total round count. The total round count probably neared 1k by me, and probably 3K+ from its previous owners. The slide seized up.

Well I couldn't get the slide to release and had to completely strip the gun in order to get the slide loose. Once the gun was apart a small piece of the barrel came tumbling out... a small piece of the barrel underneath the feed ramp fractured off.

This isnt in the Gun smithing section because I dont want advice on how to fix this, It is in the general firearm section, so that you are all aware. So you know when you want a BHP, dont settle for anything less of the real thing.

Cheers

Sounds like bad metal to me. Look on E-Bay or Numrich to see if you can find a new/used barrel. I have a high opinion of the blueing and exterior but mine has a lot of tool marks on the inside. The tool marks have never effected the function of my FEG. I wish you luck. Regards, Richard:D

My Charles Daly Hipower should arrive any day now. I could have gotten an FEG for less money but the CD says that it has a lifetime warranty. I hope I don't need it. I'll post a review.
