In regards to my previous topic on buying a handgun on one's 21st BD, I did finally turn 21 today and successfully bought (in this order) a 6 pack of Anchor Steam (the favorite beer of both my father and myself), and a Taurus Millenium 9mm! Sorry, Sporting Arms, and thank you Friedmans!
When doing the background check, it did come up as "invalid birthday," as the TBI said it sometimes takes a day to get in the system. HOWEVER, if that happens, all you have to do is simply pick up the phone and call them. The fact that I brought my birth certificate with me probably helped, too :D
Moral of the story? Take everything witha grain of salt. The guy at Sporting Arms wasn't totally wrong, but he surely wasn't right! There can be annoyances when buying a handgun on one's 21st birthday, but there is not a single law, ordinance, rule, statute, etc which prohibits it.
As for the fruits of my labors?

Happy Birthday to Me :)
Thanks to everyone here for your knowledge and support. You guys rock, and this is definitely a birthday I'll remember for a long time.
