Just went ahead and ordered one of these:

I figure I already really like my regular combo-edge Griptillian, so I'd imagine getting it in S30V would be equally nice.

How'd I do? (aside from the "I would have gone with a straight edge" comments :neener: - I like my combo edges!) :D

theres an article in one of the knife magazines ( can't say witch ) about that knife, I cant find it at the moment, but I think ( and I may be wrong ) that it was a tactical knives issue, within the last year, sorry I can't be more specific. and yeah I do like a plain edge:D

Doug's a great person, see kniferights sticky above, and has real applications experience that moved him to design the knife and it's fixed blade brother. Also, a portion of his proceeds go to his equipped to survive institute and that helps support kniferights.

Thanks HSO - didn't even know about those organizations.

I'll be getting involved ASAP. :)

I have the plain-edged version with no coating on the blade and I like it quite a bit. It holds a good edge and I'm partial to the Axis lock, so I'd say you made a good choice. I really wish that Benchmade still made the 710HSSR, though, since that's my favorite tactical locking folder ever.

I've had a satin plain edge Ritter for the past year. I love it. Good choice.

In my opinion the Ritter knives have the best blade shape of all the Griptilians. Getting it in S30V (or M2!) is even better. Excellent knife, I'm sure you'll like it.
