I had this fixed up a year or so ago. A 9.5 " barrel to go with my .22 mag Single Six. The hope was that it would equal the unbelievable results I have obtained with this Single Six over the decades. It's heavier and a bit less wieldy for off-hand shooting but my appreciation for its versatility is growing.
I am sticking with factory nominal loads in .45 Colt and ACP because I don't want to deal with a detached ejector rod and eventual end-shake.

For this one, I sat against the 25 yard bench and rested the gun over my knees. The load is a 200 grain flying fat thumbtack over 4.5 bullseye. The barrel makes efficient use of this doing 888 fps- more than 50 fps faster than the load does from a 1911
