What a great older knife!

Sadly, I'm not sure you'll be able to find an original sheath for it. Being optimistic, I would suggest ebay searches for Lagouile L'Hippocampe if you're willing to wait for one to pop up.

Alternately, you can have a good sheath made for it for under $50.

although i must say its not that old 1990's i suspect
and if i looked real hard i might even have the original sheath
they've just been seperated as i actually use this as a kitchen knife
(and a dang fine one at that)

BTW still looking for any background on this knife if anyone knows anything

Nice "folding bowie". I have been looking for one like that for a couple of years. Having a sheath made for that would be pretty cheap.
