All,
I'm looking to try out more practical shooting competitions. I've got a 1911 .45 that I've used in an IDPA classifier, but it jams on me enough that I'm loathe to use it again before I can get it fixed (I ended up in the upper end of the "Tyro" semi-classification after a few FTFs).

My house gun is a Model 625 (N-frame) 5" barreled .45ACP revolver, and I've got a few dozen fullmoon clips for it. Can anyone recommend a relatively inexpensive IDPA/IPSC-legal holster for it, and perhaps a place to purchase one online?

Inexpensive holster is the catch all.

Blade Tech or Center of Mass make a decent kydex/plastic revo holster. For IPSC I would recommend the CR Speed. It isnt cheap, but its the best out there.

And, you do know a 5 inch revo isnt legal for IDPA...

Whups!! No I didn't know that, thank you very much for the information. :o

Okay, I guess I'd be getting the holster for IPSC, steel plate, and bowling pins then.

The KyTac RevoQuik is a great holster. http://www.kytac.com/page9.html

Comp-Tac also makes a great holster for the 625 and they are usually available a lot quicker than KyTac. http://www.comp-tac.com/ct_lpaddle.html

Take a look at www.pistolpacking.com he makes great revolver holsters. Most of the top IDPA revolver shooters use his stuff. Actually, most of the top revolver and semi auto shooters use his stuff.

He is moving his shop (talked with him today) and may be tough to catch for another week. He stuff is worth the wait.
