I have a couple of P7M8's, good handguns. I have yet to decide just how much I like them. They are well made, and relaible, but there is something about the feel and handling quality of which I am not quiet sure.
How does that SOCOM shoot for you? I've never even touched one, really. Could never warm up to it (mostly due to its size and features versus the USPf .45).
It's more accurate than a standard USP, mostly because of the longer sight-radius. The SA trigger pull is crisper than a USP, though the DA pull is like dragging a stick through thick mud....I'm not joking that thing is heavy! I prefer the separate safety and decocker (you can control the rate-of-fall when decocking) over the USPs combined controls because the Mark-23 controls are more low-profile. The size isn't that much bigger than a USPf, it's just the larger trigger-guard and longer slide/barrel make it seem bigger than it is. As you can expect, it's fed everything I've put through it without any problems, and I've never had a failure of any kind (just like my USPf).

I love that red HK logo etching-paint. Did you do it yourself, or have it done for you?"
Yes I did it myself with a little car model enamel paint. Its pretty easy to do, and it lasts much longer than the crayon stuff! :)

I know I'm being a Gloom Cookie here but......I don't think it's very "Highroad" to show photos of a cocked firearm with an alcoholic drink.
Sends the wrong message about being responsible.

You've never seen any of the ATF(E) photo threads, have you?
Here's the link (or at least one of them, I vaguely remember there being more than one thread), after some time of trying to find it:

BlkHawk73 = that HK-4 & conversion set is awesome!!
Thanx! Found it almost my accident. Saw the gun listed on a shop's site. Called about it and they said "no box, one conversion". Price was like $540. had them hold it for me. When I got there the clerk pulls out the pistol and the full conversion set in the box. I knew I'd get it but didn't want to appear over anxious. While he punched it into the computer, he called to someone on the phone. A minute later the box, papers, etc for the pistol arrive. Complete set w/ matching #'s and all paperwork for $540! :what:
