Barrel Relining?

Can anyone recommend a qualified gunsmith to reline a Trapdoor Carabine 22" barrel?

I have an uncommonly good condition Trapdoor that is in approximately 95% condition, has 98% original bluing, sharp cartouche's, highly visible case coloring in the proper places. The bore is extremely shiny....but has no rifling. In fact, the chamber area has absolutely no visible wear. The barrel slugs large at .461". Preliminary research indicates that some rifles were modified to be shotguns and called "foyager" models, but they generally were rebored to accept 20 ga. It might be possible the cook for company "H" of the Ohio Vols wanted his capable of both short range .45-70 cartridge and .410 shot capable, but I doubt it.

Since the rifle is in such good shape and all the parts appear original, I was thinking that relining the barrel to .458 and with the proper rifling might be the way to go.

I don't know the wall thickness of your barrel.
I'm not sure if there is enough for a liner.

Maybe reboring to 50-70 would be a better choice?
That would better preserve the original look of the muzzle.

An internet search should turn up several companies to do it.

If that's an original I think it costs more than a replica since it's a collector piece. It's rarer than most trapdoor carbines.
