I am sure every pro gun "activist" has heard the lame "how come their is less crime in england/some other gunless country that the US?"
I would like to have an amalgamation of statistics to argue against that point. here is what I have in an attemt to prove that america is inherently more violent, and it has nothing to do with gun ownership
(the following is from an article I wrote)

while the amounts of gun deaths in the United States tower over those in the UK, so do all other types of murders. While there are 4.6 times as many people in the United States as the United Kingdom (1),There are 9 times as many knife murders,9.4 times as many murders through hitting and kicking and 10.8 times as much by blunt instruments.(2)

got any more statistics on stuff like, what countries have liberalized gun laws and low crime rates (exact figures)
