I recently acquired a beautiful 70's era S&W model 34-1 22/32 Kit Gun with the 4" bbl and round butt. I really like this revolver but I can't get a good shooting grip on it with the stock wood grips. Even my smallish hands overwhelm it and I end up shooting low.

Can someone suggest a souce for quality WOOD J frame target grips? I shoot fine with the stock S&W K,L,N target grips on my other Smiths, something with a similar profile would work for me. The only other J frame I have is a 637 with the uncle mike's rubber grips, which don't help much. :o

Thanks!

Maybe some Tyler T-Grips, which fill in the inner grip area, would help.

For wood grips, take a look at Ahrends web site

http://ahrendsgripsusa.com/

The most comfortable I have found are Pachmayrs.

These are inexpensive and worth a try.
Saw some used ones on Ebay for $10.00 and free shipping.:)

Also see: www.cdnnsports.com. They have excellent prices, but remember there is a fixed $10.00 handling & shipping fee so you may want to shop around.

Also a fellow member on The High Road who posts under the name "Robbt" has some nice deals on Herretts stocks.

Last, but not least, Smith & Wesson offer their own line of stocks at www.smith-wesson.com

I once picked up a set of stocks that converted a round butt J-frame to a square butt. Found 'em on eBay.
