I like 9mms the best and I also seem to like single stack over double stack pistols for carry. What are all the common and availiable single stack 9mms on the market? I mean the ones that might serve as a decent CCW not just a collectible gun.
I'll start the list with guns I can list off the top of my head:
1. Kahr K and P series pistol.
2. Sig 239
3. Star Firestar M43
4. Star BM
5. Star Ultrastar
6. Star model B
7. Star BS
8. Star Super B
9. Colt 1911
10. S&W 39
11. Astra A75
12. Rap 401
13. Polish Radom
14. Colt Pocket 9
15. AMT Backup
16. Walther P-1
17. Walther P-5
18. H&K P-7

20. Sig 210
21. Sig 220 (in 9mm)
22. Luger
23. Walther P-38
24. Springfield Armory 9mm 1911
25. S&W 952
26. S&W 439

I own TWO Beretta compacts type M. They're single stack, eight rounds, slender -- they'd fit the bill....:D I plan to buy more -- doesn't that just say all?:p

Mastrogiacomo,
I have never seen a singel stack Beretta 9mm. Can you post a pic or a link?
I will edit the above to add the pistols you guys have told me about and take off the Kel-Tec.:o

From the Beretta USA website (near the bottom) (http://products.berettausa.com/frame_tabellaprodotti_2002.asp?sgmt=22&Model=92&descr=1):
The Type M, variant of 92 Compact L, carries a single stack 8-round magazine, which creates a slimmer profile that’s ideal for individuals with smaller hands.
IIRC, there was a non-trivial Federal acquisition of these for the US Postal Service Inspectors. They are rather highly sought after. A local store sold out its entire shipment in a few days of arrival.
Warning: Viewing pictures of highly desireable tricked-out carry pistol may result in dangerously low cash conditions

The 92M is a slender little thing unlike her fat cousin, the 92FS.

This is the only Beretta 92 I can get my mitts comfortably around for a stable shooting grip and it hides real easily IWB with a light cover.

From one Beretta fan to another, that is one sweet pistol! I didn't even know that it existed. Why are there not more of them? I would buy one in a heartbeat!

Here's a nice pic of a Nazi Model B with the Waffenamts on the tang.

It's lineage from the Browning design is fairly obvious.

I just did a search on gunbroker and found a guy selling the blued version. I want to check it out in person first but I think this is a contender for my next purchase.

Astra 400/600.
CZ-52.
Tokarev TT-30/33/Norinco 213.
Steyr Hahn 1912 if you find one with a Nazi conversion barrel
The Astra 600's the only one on this list that's 9mm Para. from the factory, but all are viable.

9X23 single stack 1911 style , Caspian, Commander size.
This just may be the perfect carry gun. I have been shooting one. If I win the lottery, guess what I'm having built? drool, pant, bad case of wants... ;)

I have the same preference for single stack 9mm's. As a function of being ~5'6", it's hard to get a good grip on something with a fat doubl stack magazine, like a glock. So far I have a Kahr PM9 and a Sig 239. I tried a springfield XD the other day, and though it's double stack IIRC, it seemed to fit my hands WAY better than a glock.

Astra made another one in 9mm, but I'll be darned if I can remember what it is...
I'm also fairly sure that Randall made a bunch of 1911-style guns in 9mm, but you don't see Randalls too often anymore.

I have a P225 made in West Germany in 1982. I plan on replacing some springs, adding N.S.,and maybe having the slide nickle plated. It is a great compact 9mm pistol and it fits my small hand very well.
