I throw a 1-pound ingot into the air and catch them on the way down with the top of my head. Can't tell much which is softer but it keeps my dogs amused!

Sadly, I've done worse... tried to 'head' (like soccer players) a box of metal parts into a crash cart while unloading a truck. Honestly, I though the guy throwing it was just pretending it was heavy.
