Pax Jordana March 22, 2007, 09:39 PM I'm thinking the neck knife is individual because it's concealed somewhere that's not your pocket. I.e. a nice last ditch. Nobody I know carries one for utility.. Anyway it's safer (less prone to loss if you're gonna be crawling, climbing, hanging upside down, doing backflips.. puttering around, you know) if you keep it clipped to your pocket. Soap March 22, 2007, 09:45 PM I frequently carry a La Griffe, but never use it for utility to keep the edge fresh. Sistema1927 March 22, 2007, 10:17 PM A.G. Simonich Bitteroot 2ns fav to use Alan Folts Baby Bear... I have has this one about a month & 1/2 now , awesome lil blade. The Burke is the purfect size but I havent cut much with it yet. Rinaldi Matrix ( not carried as a necker ) Burke Proto Necker Burke production Snitch Simoinich Bitteroot Alan Folts Baby Bear ( bottom left ) Brock "Hole" Knife ( bottom right ) CWL March 23, 2007, 12:56 PM I have 3 hideaway knives by Mick Strider. I like wearing a one-off prototype as neck knife. Like above posters, this is a 'last ditch' weapon, not a utility knife. Because of this, I don't use the blade. Have a bunch of others like CS, Newt livesay, TOPPS, etc. but they're all a bit too big for regular carry. I would suggest a folder for common utility, it's easier to access as well as doesn't give away the presence of your 'necker. whited March 23, 2007, 03:26 PM I've got a Becker Necker and its the nuts. :) A friend of mine has a Camillus Cuda Arclite, which is also nice. hso March 23, 2007, 03:31 PM Randal King Snitch rbmcmjr March 23, 2007, 06:55 PM Krein TK-1, kept on my keyring. Uncle Alvah March 23, 2007, 07:16 PM Another vote for Becker Necker! I love the bottle opener too, 'cuz I drink import beer, no twist off caps mostly! KINGMAX March 23, 2007, 07:22 PM I have enjoyed my Kershaw Ken Onion Blackout assisted opening knife. My wife purchased it for a stocking stuffer a couple years back. She purchased it at Wally-World fo 49.88. One of the best little knives I have ever owned. I also like a QUEEN Steele Country Cousin in Black Ebony. Very good steele, ez to keep sharpe. :D Mike Sastre March 23, 2007, 07:37 PM Spyderco Matriarch in one of my neck sheaths. Blade can be deployed on the draw, with motion continuing into a strike if need be. JTW Jr. March 23, 2007, 07:39 PM Anyone ever had a necker on when a airbag went of in an accident ? I take mine off when I enter my car just in case. Thoughts ?
