Who makes a good kydex holster of a Glock 22? I had a Black Hawk SERPA but the locking mechanism failed after about a week so i got rid of it. What is the quality on Bladetech holsters like?

I'm extremely happy with my bladetech holster for my XD9.

I chose a jacket-slot strong side holster, and it does exactly what it is supposed to do. It's about 2 years old at this point and has survived a couple of arizona summers without cracking or anything.

The Serpa has a weapons retention device on it that requires your finger to de-activate it, right? I don't have that on my bladetech, but I wasn't looking for that type of device. Not sure if they offer a model with that feature or not.

Hope that helped.

Nice thing about Glocks is everyone makes a holster for them. As for Kydex, I've used five different brands. Two of them really stand out as well crafted:

Both of those those guys get their product out basically within a week. As an aside, I've always thought the Glock 22 is the perfect all-around handgun. Reliable, great power, nice size ... very hard to beat.

Shoot safe,

I've been carrying my Glock 19 in a CompTac paddle holster for five years with no problems. Rides right where it should, completely comfortable, adjustable tension screws. Minimal holster wear on weapon. Not the cheapest but I used another name brand (which I probably shouldn't name) kydex on my Scandium 1911 and it rubbed a big spot of the finish off of the top of the slide after 3-4 months. No such problems with the CompTac.
