I need insurance and was wondering if there were any companies that were better than others. I have never seen some of the companies they have listed.

Am I going to get a better deal than what I see on SBLI.com?

They sent out a blurb a couple of months ago about insurance and the first thing I noticed was that they required my Social Security number.

W T F !

So I called them and they said it was required by their carrier/underwriter, with the usual platitude about how they needed a "unique identifying number."

Oh, come on!

I've been meaning to write to them about this, but never got around to it. Maybe your post will be a prompt for me to screech to them about it.

I was going to fill it out with either 666-66-6666 or the infamous 078-05-1120.

Are you listening, Mr. La Pierre? Ms. Froman?
