While helping my dad move, I ran across my first .22 and I can't find any info on it. It is a Daisy Model 8, single shot bolt action rifle with a synthetic stock. All I really know about it is that they were not made for very long, they were marketed exclusively to Wal Mart, and they came in 3 sizes. Anyone know anything further on this gun? I'll get a pic taken and posted this evening if that helps.
Thanks
V

Well here is what I found on it for now.
Daisy made the following:
VL Caseless - Fired a caseless round ignited by compressed (heated) air. Available about 1968 - 1974.
Model 8 - Sold through Walmart in the late 1980's. Single shot, bolt-action.
Legacy series - Produced late 1980's and available in three forms, each with either a plastic stock with adjustable length of pull or a fixed-length walnut stock. The models were as follows: 2201(plastic)/2211(wood) Bolt-action single shot. 2202/2212 Bolt action repeater with a rotary magazine. 2203/2213 Semiatomatic.

VHinch, the Daisy Model 8 was made from 1987-1988 specifically for Wal-Mart. These were basically the same rifle as the Iver Johnson Li'l Champ. In fact, I believe Daisy used left over Iver Johnson parts at the beginning of their production to assemble their Model 8 for Wal-Mart with about 30,000 being made. For a point of reference, the Blue Book Of Gun Values - 27th Edition lists the following values for the Model 8:
Thanks for the help. I knew there wasn't any value to speak of involved, but that really didn't matter, this was my first gun, so it isn't going anywhere. I've attached a pic as well.
Thanks
