S&W - Nickel plating on hammer & trigger?

Does anyone know if Smith & Wesson ever offered a factory nickel plated hammer & trigger package on their nickel plated production revolvers?
I'm looking at an older N Frame and am wondering if this treatment could be factory original. My spidey sense is telling me it's probably an aftermarket nickel job, maybe even the whole gun.
Any insights would be appreciated!

Nickel plated hammer or trigger are a sure sign of a non-factory refinish on older Smiths.

Thought so, but wanted to ask those who are more knowledgeable to get their take.
Thanks!

Looks to be nickel - I'm no metalurgist though :)

I never have seen nickel plating, from the factory, on the hammer or trigger. Every nickel S&W I ever had, had case hardened hammer and trigger. It sounds like an after market job.
