I load for an Encore in 460 S&W Mag. Thus far, I've not been able to get Barnes 200 gr. bullets to shoot well in it. I've had much better success with Hornady XTP bullets. H110/Win. 296 powder seems to work the best for me.

Here is my experience reloading the 460 S&W. I’ve reloaded 7 different recipes as follows:
1. Nosler 260 gr. JHP, 45 gr. H110, MV= 1860 fps
2. Rainier 230 gr. Cu plate RN, 43 gr. H110, no MV
3. Rainier 230 gr. Cu plate RN, 46 gr. H110, MV=1820 fps
4. Hornady 200 gr. XTP HP, 45 gr. H110, MV=1857 fps
(very nice groups)
5. Hornady 300 gr. XTP, 41 gr. H110, MV=1747 fps
6. Rainier 230 gr. Cu plate RN, 40 gr. H110, MV=1712 fps
(low power plinker)
7. Speer 200 gr. TMJFP, 46 gr. H110, 1847 fps (erratic)
FACTORY LOADS
300 gr. CorBon Hunter, MV=1714 fps
200 gr. Hornady Ballistic tip, MV=2205 fps
Since I was just starting out with this caliber most of the handloads above are loaded to the lower end of the published powder ranges. When the weather breaks I'll doing some more load development work at higher power ranges. I'm having fun.

For "plinking":
First Choice:
250 gr Hornady XTP/HP bullets in front of 41.0 grains of Lil' Gun
Second Choice:
250 gr Hornady XTP/HP bullets in front of 46.0 grains of H110
Don't particularly care for H110 due to touchy ignition.
