I am getting a Mauser 98K that has gone for rechambering in a couple of weeks.
The two caliber options I have are 8x60S or 8x64S. However I have been unable to find any reloading data on these.
Nothing at all in the Lyman 48th Edition, and I peeked the Speer manual briefly today as well. Zip...
Would appreciate any help on this.

There's a little load data for both cartridges in my "Cartridges Of The World" book by Frank Barnes. If you don't already have the book, or access to it, shoot me a PM and I'll type the load data up and send it to you. I don't have a scanner, but I'll try my best to not make a mistake.:)

Try going to www.reloadersnest.com , I found both listed there, though not alot of data. They both look like pretty good rounds, in the 2600 to 2700 fps range.
Good luck!

Try the 8mmX63S -- that's the .30-06 necked up to 8mm and is a fine round for your rifle. And you can get brass everywhere.:p
Loading data is simple -- use .30-06 data for equivallent bullet weights, or starting load data for the .338-06.
