In reality this is what the thermobaric bombs do in a hurry. The low tech method dates back to WWII and Pacific theater fighting, you poke holes in a bunch of gasoline barrels and once they've run down in the cave you light it.

The military already has a bomb that does basically the same thing in that it forces or sucks all the air out of the cave. It think it is one of the air fuel bombs.

Sort of a goofy idea, but hey, it worke me up about 4:30 this morning....

If you could get a 'cement mixer' truck above suspected cave, aim the chute, and switch to 'dispense' mode.......

Then come back in 6 months with picks, jack hammers, explosives, etc and re-open the caves........................

I know, I know, a real goofy idea, but what can you expect from a 'wakes me up' dream ? ? ?

The fuel-air explosive munitions are probably much better suited for this, though.
